It is known locally as Ermitage.<\/p>\n<p>Grown in prime locations with the best exposure, it produces a sumptuous wine with a seductive, sculptural body that is intensely aromatic &#8211; with a hint of berries &#8211; bold and mellow.<\/p>\n<p>Even if<strong> Ermitage<\/strong> is ever more frequently\u00a0vinified dry (sometimes labeled as <strong>Marsanne Blanche<\/strong>); some of the crop is harvested late, producing a wine that is well-balanced, deep and velvety smooth.
